I’ve always been a believer in giving back. Whether we want to admit it or not, many people help us along the way. Many of those around us are in need of help to. But who has the time to give back? I guess, like anything else, if you truly want to do something, like giving back, you’ll find the time.
Last year I certified in Adult and Pediatric CPR/AED through the American Red Cross. I certified in CPR back in college and unfortunately let those skills and certification slip away. Certifying again sparked my interest in the Red Cross and my desire to once again give back.
So I started looking and right on the Red Cross website are ways individuals can get involved. For us online types, we can become digital advocates. What a great, and simple way, to give back.
I registered with goodsearch.com. It’s free, easy, and something most of us do daily. Register with Facebook, Twitter, Google, Yahoo!, or do like I did and used my email. It’s that simple.
Once logged in, pick a cause. There are over 100,000 charities and schools to pick from. Then you’re all set. Just start searching! Goodsearch will donate 1 penny for every search! That’s it.
If you want to get more involved, there are other methods too. Goodsurveys (although you will have to provide some more information to qualify); gooddining, goodshop, goodoffers, and good travel. You get the picture.
So why not give back and become a digital advocate?
