On this sunny Thanksgiving Day morning I give thanks for many things. I give thanks for Little A waking me up at 2 am. I give thanks for not being able to fall back asleep until 6 am. I give thanks for Little A being hungry again at 6 am.
Thanksgiving is truly a day to give thanks for whatever makes you happy in life. We all have much to be grateful for regardless of where we are and what we have.
As I type and sip my coffee from a travel mug (my wife prohibits me from drinking from open containers in the living room since the Coffee Table Runner Incident of October occurred), I realize how truly happy I am. You may ask aren’t you exhausted? Wouldn’t you prefer to sleep in on Thanksgiving? The obvious answer is yes. However, when I look at the alternative of not having this awesome family of three, I rub my eyes, put another pot of java on and gladly go about my day.
